Solaria
The Domain of the Sun
Ruled by King Helio and his Queen, Solaria is a bright, happy land, full of bright, happy people - or so they say. In truth, the nation faces inner turmoil, the people unhappy with the current heir to the throne, who they view as inferior to his popular younger brother. Beyond their borders, people of the surrounding lands believe Solarians to be stuck up and entitled, as the nation is quite rich. While they attempt to keep up appearances, all the other nations know Solaria is on the brink of revolt, if only its citizens would get over themselves.

Lestana
The Domain of the Moon
Lestana, a mystic land full of secretive people, perpetually shrouded in shadow. Dark clouds linger above the nation, and have for nearly 50 years. Some believe Lestana has somehow fallen out of favor with its deity. Other, elder people, blame the royal family, claiming the king cursed the land when he married a commoner from another land. Still more suspect dark magic to be at play. No matter the case, the fact remains that the people of Lestana have been cut off from the entity they represent and the royal family has said nothing about it, putting all who live under its domain in a state of anxious unrest.

Terasil
The Domain of the Earth
A prosperous and beautiful land, Terasil is the envy of all the other nations. By all accounts, it is a utopia. The royal family is beloved by all across not just the nation, but the entire continent. The people of the land are smiley, generous people. Too generous. The generosity of the people has put the entire nation into debt. The culture of Terasilans revolves around community. If one is struggling, all are struggling. The citizens - either out of the goodness of their hearts, or by law - share all they own with one another. The debt of the nation is the poverty of its people.

Ekapel
The City State of Peace
"The White City", "The City of Peace", "That Which Unites Us", "The Shared Lands" - Ekapel has many names to the citizens of the nations which surround it. Ekapel is relatively young, having been established nearly 100 years ago. It is an independent city-state at the intersection of the four nations, where the rulers of each nation signed the Ekapel treaty, for which the city-state is named. This treaty brought a peace to the continent, and each nation gave away a piece of their land to contribute to Ekapel. Now, Ekapel is a trade hub, as well as a center for religious activity. Those living there often worship all four deities, as they attribute the lasting peace to them.

The only daughter to the King and Queen of Lestana, Luciné has led a very sheltered life. At all times, she is flanked by at least two guards. She's rarely been off her palace's grounds - or so everyone believes. In truth, nearly every night, she sneaks off the grounds and off to her favorite places around the capitol. One of these favorite places is a tall, narrow cliff behind the palace grounds, on the very edge of a large lake. As far as Luciné is aware, it might be the only place in the whole kingdom where you can still see the moon. When the night comes to an end, and the moon slowly sets, there is a brief few minutes where the moon dips below the clouds, but is still visible through a valley before it is completely hidden by the mountains on the far side of the lake. Luciné has searched and searched, but has yet to find another spot like it.Lestana, the Realm of the Moon, had always been a nocturnal kingdom. The citizens felt drawn to the moon, and many preferred moonlight to sunlight. However, after the clouds rolled in, people became less and less interested in being out after dark. Their connection to the moon had been severed, what was the point? However, some people kept their nocturnal habits, so many places stay open at all hours. Perfect for Luciné.Until she hosted the 96th annual Peace Ball, it was rumored that no one outside of the palace had ever seen her. Some were skeptical a Crown Princess even existed. Of course, she does exist, and her nightly escapades mean that people outside the palace have seen her. In fact, she's made quite a few close friends, who either didn't know her identity, or were sworn to secrecy.
